Why We Do What We Do
March 27, 2025; 8:51 PM
This was the moment everything changed.
The moment of my greatest loss.
The moment the voices and hallucinations took away my boy.
The moment my uncomfortable journey with grief began.
My hope with The Grief Love Project is that you can realize….
Grief is a reflection of LOVE
The Grief Love Project was born from my own journey through grief, loss, and love. After experiencing the loss of my oldest son by suicide, I found myself trying to understand how to move forward while carrying a love that would never disappear. Along the way, I came to realize that grief is not something we simply overcome or leave behind. It becomes part of our journey, shaping how we see the world, how we connect with others, and how we learn to live with what has changed. I created this project because I know how isolating grief can feel, and I wanted to create a place where others facing similar struggles could find understanding, compassion, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
At the heart of The Grief Love Project is a simple belief:
Grief is a reflection of Love.
We grieve because we have loved, and that love does not end with loss. I believe love can also be one of our greatest sources of strength, helping us navigate even life's most difficult moments. My hope is that through shared stories, personal experiences, meaningful resources, and messages of encouragement, this project will help others find connection, hope, and the courage to continue their own journeys. There is no single path through grief, no timeline we must follow, and no expectation that we must always be strong. But even in our darkest moments, I believe love can help us find our way forward—not by erasing our grief, but by reminding us that there is still meaning, connection, and life to be experienced.
